Filling Station

If you have a valid diving permit for the Ekeren pit (1 or 3 years), you can register once on the AVOS website. Registration is only possible using your NELOS membership or based on your permit number. After registration, you will have an account that allows you to log in and consult your permits. With your account, you can purchase filling subscriptions, which you can then use to fill your diving tank at the new filling station.
Filling your diving tank is started by scanning a QR code linked to your diving permit—the same QR code you use to access the changing rooms and toilets at the Ekeren pit.
User instructions
When the green light next to “200 or 300 BAR OK” is on, you can fill your diving tank.
If this light is red, listen whether the compressor is running and wait until the buffers have sufficient starting pressure.
- Connect the filling hose to your tank.
- Open the valve of your tank.
- The pressure gauge shows the pressure in your tank.
- Hold your QR code about 10 cm above the scanner.
- If you have credits → the scanner turns green
- If the scanner turns red, it may mean:
- The station is not operational
- The QR code is invalid
- Your diving permit / QR-code has expired
- You have insufficient credit
- Your subscription is blocked
- If there is sufficient credit, the button next to “Start” will also turn green.
- Press the green Start button
- You have 30 seconds to press this green “Start” button
- If you react too late, the “Start” button will turn red again and you must start over
- The filling process will now start.
- You receive one filling unit of approximately 500 bar liters.
- After the filling is completed, and if there is sufficient credit, the button will light up green again.
- If your tank is not yet full, repeat the previous step by pressing the green "Start" button.
- When your tank is full and you no longer need additional fillings:
- Press the red “Stop” button to end the filling process
- Close the valve of your tank
- Press the green “0 bar” button to depressurize the filling hose
- Disconnect the filling hose from your tank and neatly hang it back
- If you do not press the red “Stop” button, the filling process (green “Start” button) will automatically deactivate after 30 seconds.
Note
- Only fill bottles with an inspection date less than 30 months old
- In case of problems: press “Stop” and the filling process will end
- In the event of malfunction: mail vulstation@avos.be
- In case of an emergency: call 112
