If you already have an account (and filling subscription), you have 2 options.

Renew current permit
It is better to renew your current (expired) permit instead of creating a new permit. You do this by logging in with your account and going to your permit, where you can renew your permit. If your current permit has not yet expired, the new permit will automatically start on the expiry date of your current active permit.

Create a new permit and link it to your existing account
The other option is to continue with this permit application, after payment you need to attach it to your account by going to your permits. This new license will take effect on the day of payment and will therefore not automatically take effect on the day on which your current active license expires.

Creating an account is not necessary, this is only necessary if you want to use the filling station or if you prefer to renew your individual permit instead of requesting a new one each time.
