Muisbroek - Guidelines

Corona

Update May 1st 2021 - COVID-19 regulations.

The City of Antwerp allows us to continue diving in the "Put van Ekeren", subject to compliance with the regulations. The federal, provincial and local COVID-19 regulations always prevail over the guidelines below. For detailed info, please check the official website http://www.info-coronavirus.be

Dear fellow divers,

The vaccination programs are running at full speed and that is encouraging. But given the evolution and the high level of infection of a number of variants of the coronavirus, we divers must remain very vigilant and comply with the applicable regulations.

Given that a large number of dive sites still suffer from limitations, we expect a greater influx at the "Put van Ekeren" in the coming days / weeks. Just like last year, we strive to keep the "Put van Ekeren" open for diving. We are now dependent on your help as well.

In addition to the already known rules (see below), we may be forced to take the following actions:

  • A road block with permit check is possible at any time and can be put in place during busy periods.
  • You are requested to have your permit ready upon arrival.
  • Face masks are mandatory from arrival to departure.
  • The social distance (1.5 m) must be respected at all times.
  • In the actual context no tables, chairs nor party tents are allowed on the parking. Sorry, no BBQ nor parties.
  • Is it crowdy? Then please leave the site as soon as possible after the dive.
  • Parking full? Wait on the access road or come back later.

The police will check regularly. In general, we note that the guidelines are properly respected. We are pleased and grateful for that. After all, it is an extremely difficult and fragile balance between safety and health on the one hand and enjoy diving on the other. Big thanks to everyone who helps us to maintain discipline and keep up the spirits.

Thanks for your understanding and together we will keep the dive site open!

The AVOS board.
